How Can You Change Keeping Old Habits?

I think we often underestimate the time we spend doing things that may be working against our long term goals. The problem is, because we fight so hard to keep them as they are now truly habits, we often aren’t willing to put for the effort that it always takes to create a NEW habit.

If you are having a hard time making it to the gym yet that’s your goal, stop “trying to fit it in” and just commit, just as you do your job or school, to getting there every day for a few weeks. If hitting your macro target is far more miss than hit each week, then take that one day you “hit”, and just eat those foods (or with very little variation) for a couple of weeks and see how your body and the scale responds. I bet you will be amazed! You’ll also find that “time to workout” just magically appeared into your life as well.

Overall, just working out and “eating right” that bodybuilders, fitness people or even any other sports athlete do, didn’t get them to where they wanted to be. It was the dedication to do so even when they didn’t FEEL like it because it was a habit and became a part of who they are when they look in the mirror.

Motivation is temporary and leaves real soon. Dedication, shows commitment, that leads to results, and motivation alone WILL NOT get you results any more than showing up for work a few days a week will make you successful at your job or attending a couple of classes in a course doesn’t get you that degree in the end. We all have habits. But ask yourself, are you really ready to begin new ones to change how you feel inside? If you’re ready and don’t know how, click the link in the bio, DM me or just say, “Ready” in the comments below. I’d love to help!
